Finland in 2030: The Future Demographic

In 2030, the population of Finland will reach 5.8 million, an increase of 9.1% from 2010. Males suffer more problems from job-related illnesses and generally lead a less healthy lifestyle than females. In contrast with the growth in total population, the number of women of childbearing age (15-49 years) is expected to fall between 2010 and 2030, with the numbers having peaked in 1994. Finland’s fastest growing major city between 2010 and 2030 will be the second largest city, Espoo.
